Launch of Invest West Sussex
9th December 2013

A new website that showcases West Sussex to businesses looking to start, locate or grow here has been launched.

Launch of Invest West Sussex

www.investwestsussex.co.uk/ is the place to go to find out what the county and our business areas have to offer to regional, national and international companies and organisations.

It also highlights development and investment opportunities to developers, domestic and foreign investors, and provides a vast amount of information around workforce skills, transport links and business clusters.

Visitors to Invest West Sussex can use an interactive map to find their way around the county and West Sussex’s three main business areas - Gatwick Diamond, Coastal West Sussex and Rural West Sussex - as well as finding information about business support and funding opportunities.

One key feature of the site is that it also lets visitors hear directly from highly successful businesses already based here via engaging video vox pops.

A free, comprehensive commercial property search is also available for businesses to find available land or premises tailored to their needs.

One of West Sussex County Council’s key priorities is to support economic growth and the Council has led on the development of the new website, associated Twitter feed @InvestWS and LinkedIn profile (Invest West Sussex) on behalf of key partners across the county.

Louise Goldsmith, West Sussex County Council Leader and Cabinet Member for the Economy, said: “This new website showcases West Sussex to potential new business investors who are looking to launch a new business or set up headquarters in the area.

“We may be biased, but we think that West Sussex has got a huge amount to offer. It is a great place to work, rest and play and we are committed to doing everything we can to promote the county as a great business and living location.”

“Worthing and the surrounding area is a real magnet for entrepreneurial new media start-ups such as Fresh Egg. There is a friendly business community of like-minded people who own similar companies, but have managed to put competition to one side. It has even been dubbed the ‘Silicon Beach’! "

Adam Stafford, Managing Director - Fresh Egg

It’s Time to Change for West Sussex businesses

Employers in the county are being challenged to change attitudes and behaviours around mental health in workplaces – by signing up to an employer pledge.
