  • 11. Burgess Hill High Technology Park

    The Opportunity: Significant opportunity for a new business park to the west of Burgess Hill accessed off the A2300 within close proximity of the A23 strategic road network.

    Allocation: Policy DP1 - Economic Development in draft District Plan which allocates 20 – 30 hectares of land as a high quality business park at Burgess Hill.

    Policy DP7 – Strategic allocation to the north and north-west of Burgess Hill in draft District Plan which allocates 20 – 30 hectares of land as a high quality business park at Burgess Hill.

  • 13. Manor Royal (Crawley)

  • 15. Former Novartis Site (Horsham)

    The Opportunity: West Sussex County Council owns a 18.6 acre brownfield site in Horsham West Sussex, formerly the site of global healthcare company Novartis. The site was previously used for medical research, and there are plans to establish a campus for medtech, life sciences and related businesses. It is expected the development opportunity will include Grade A offices and residential accommodation.

    Location: The site is within close proximity to London, and major international gateways through London Gatwick (just 20 minutes away) and London Heathrow airports. The local area is home to a booming cluster of more than 140 health and life sciences businesses, including an impressive number of multinational companies who have chosen to have their regional, UK or global headquarters here.
