  • 1. Enterprise Bognor Regis

    The Opportunity: A new premier business location in West Sussex. 180 acres of mainly green field land reserved for mixed office, industrial and supporting development to deliver a new generation of buildings in a high quality environment to sustain both newly established and growing businesses.

    Location: Situated on the northern edge of Bognor Regis with direct road access from the A29 and the newly constructed Bognor Regis Northern Relief Road linking directly with the A259 and the coastal network. Gatwick Airport is just over one hour away by car.

  • 2. Shoreham Harbour - Western Arm

    The Opportunity: Mixed residential and employment on a riverside location close to Shoreham Town Centre.

    Planning Status: Port operations and other employment uses.

    Size: 10 hectares.

    Land Ownership: Shoreham Port Authority own 2 hectares, there are 12 other owners.

    Key factors: Flood defence, relocation of existing businesses.

  • 3. Shoreham Harbour - Southwick Waterfront

    The Opportunity: Business and leisure space, extra berths and improved marina facilities, increased car parking and improved public realm.

    Planning Status: Marina, small businesses, open space and vacant land.

    Size: 3.7 hectares with a potential development area of 1.5 hectares.

  • 4. Shoreham Harbour - North Quayside

    Size: 8.57 hectares with a potential development area of 3 hectares.

  • 5. Shoreham Harbour - Aldrington Basin

    The Opportunity: Primarily employment and port uses with some residential.

    Planning Status: Warehousing and small business space.

    Size: 5.9 hectares with a potential development area of 2.2 hectares.

    Land ownership: Shoreham Port Authority own 1.34 hectares.

    Key factors: The main vehicular port access goes through this area.

  • 6. Shoreham Airport

    The Opportunity: A range of new employment generating floorspace including B1, B2 and B8 - aviation and non aviation related – proposed allocation in the draft Adur Local Plan.

    Planning Status: A proposed allocation in the draft Adur Local Plan   

    Location: On the north-eastern side of the Airport

  • 7. Teville Gate (Worthing)

    The Opportunity: Gateway site to Worthing town centre offering a mixed use development incorporating food retailing, multiplex, residential and opportunities for cafes/restaurants.

    Planning Status: Resolution to grant planning consent subject to completion of a S106 agreement.

  • 8. Decoy Farm (Worthing)

    The Opportunity: This site is approximately 7.7 hectares located on the eastern edge of Worthing adjacent to well established industrial estates. Developing opportunities on the site for mixed employment use that could include a range B1, B2 and B8 industrial units or open storage. There are aspirations to bring this site back into commercial use, whilst acknowledging that there are significant land contamination

  • 11. Burgess Hill High Technology Park

  • 13. Manor Royal (Crawley)

    The Opportunity: The Manor Royal Business District offers diversity, connectivity and scale at the heart of the Gatwick Diamond with enviable transport links providing access to a wide catchment of suppliers, customers, staff and housing options. It is home to approximately 500 businesses generating 30,000 jobs.

    Planning Status: Manor Royal is a multi-owned, mixed use site of some 800 premises and sites, including office, industrial and retail. Specific planning policy and design guidance has been developed by the planning authority (Crawley Borough Council).

    Location: Situated on the Sussex and Surrey county border it is just two miles from London Gatwick Airport and a major motorway junction.

  • 15. Former Novartis Site (Horsham)

    The Opportunity: West Sussex County Council owns a 18.6 acre brownfield site in Horsham West Sussex, formerly the site of global healthcare company Novartis. The site was previously used for medical research, and there are plans to establish a campus for medtech, life sciences and related businesses. It is expected the development opportunity will include Grade A offices and residential accommodation.

     

    Planning Status: TBC

     

    Location: The site is within close proximity to London, and major international gateways through London Gatwick (just 20 minutes away) and London Heathrow airports. The local area is home to a booming cluster of more than 140 health and life sciences businesses, including an impressive number of multinational companies who have chosen to have their regional, UK or global headquarters here.
